This studio approaches urban resilience through a combination of mitigative and adaptative strategies, co-created by communities. Over the term of 16 weeks, students engage in a participatory bottom-up process to explore urban visions for two Texas coastal cities: Port Aransas and Portland. Together with a diverse coalition of stakeholders, students explore contemporary tools of engagement processes and develop design proposals on various scales, informed by community input.
