This project visualizes the interconnected systems of climate change, mapping vulnerability drivers, associated hazards, and their spatial impacts on the built environment. Grounded in the context of Texas’ Coastal Bend Region, the work translates abstract climate data into place-based insights that reveal how environmental risks are distributed across communities. By focusing on patterns of infrastructure exposure, land use, and social vulnerability, the project highlights zones of environmental injustice where climate impacts intersect with systemic inequities.
Through a synthesis of geospatial analysis, participatory engagement, and design communication, the project builds a framework to support adaptive planning and equitable transformation. It reflects the FUELED mission by integrating ecological systems with human experience, connecting local knowledge with digital tools to co-create visual narratives that inform public understanding and design action.
